The economics

Why lawn care is perfect for group buying

Lawn care providers spend 20–30% of their workday just driving between jobs. When they can serve 10–15 homes on the same street back-to-back, that travel cost vanishes. Route density is everything in this business — and that saving flows directly to you. A provider who charges $65/visit for a one-off client can comfortably offer $40/visit to a neighborhood group and still make more money per hour.

Why it works

More than just a lower price

📅

Consistent scheduling

Group contracts mean your provider is on your block every week — not fitting you in around scattered single-home jobs across town.

🏆

Vetted, insured crews

Every provider in our network is licensed, insured, and reviewed by real neighbors. If they underperform on one house, the whole neighborhood knows.

🔄

Seasonal bundles

Bundle spring fertilization, summer mowing, fall leaf cleanup, and winter preparation into one neighborhood contract for even deeper savings.

🌱

Better results neighborhood-wide

When providers treat an entire block consistently, pests and weeds don't migrate from untreated yards. A maintained neighborhood is a beautiful neighborhood.

We went from $68/visit to $41/visit for the whole street. The provider now does our block every Tuesday morning — I barely think about it anymore.

Questions

Frequently asked about group lawn care

How many neighbors do I need to sign up to get a group rate?
Most providers offer group rates starting at 5 households. Savings increase as more neighbors join — the sweet spot is 10–15 homes on the same street or in the same subdivision.
What's included in a standard group lawn care contract?
Typically mowing, edging, and blowing debris. Many providers add fertilization, aeration, and seasonal cleanups to group contracts at no extra charge to secure the deal.
Can I join if only a few of my neighbors sign up?
Yes — you're never committed until you see and accept the actual group rate. If the minimum isn't met, you owe nothing.
What if I'm unhappy with the service?
Group contracts have built-in accountability. If a provider underperforms, your neighborhood group can collectively request a re-service or find a new provider at renewal. You also get neighbor reviews before you accept any deal.
Does group pricing include mowing frequency?
Frequency (weekly vs. bi-weekly) is part of the contract terms you review before accepting. Most neighborhoods opt for bi-weekly in spring/fall and weekly in peak growing season.
